Being a confident, clear and well-presented speaker is an essential skill set to have as you progress and develop in your career. Communicating new ideas, pitching concepts and keeping your audience engaged are priceless abilities for every future leader out there. It allows us to form connections, influence decisions and motivates change.

Fear of public speaking affects up to 75% of the population so imagine the competitive edge you would have as someone who is a confident presenter and even enjoys public speaking!

Inside and outside the workplace, the power of persuasion can carry you far and it starts by honing those public speaking skills. Mastering public speaking results in an increase in confidence and with that, it can catapult your career or open new opportunities for personal growth.

Our Public Speaking workshop will be presented by Women in Design and Constructions' very own Althea Papinczak, who will share her knowledge and tips on public speaking to help you:

Find the confidence to speak in front of groups or audiences of all sizes

Learn how to read the room while presenting to ensure you are retaining your audience's attention

Keep your audience hooked by learning how to use interactive tools throughout your presentation

Reduce your fear and re-frame your mindset when going up to present

Learn the tips to help reduce and overcome the nerves that are holding you back

The evening will also include interactive activities, grazing boxes, drinks and casual networking as well as the opportunity for an informal Q & A session.
